Operations Center Manager (Related to Emergency Response Disaster Management)

Job Purpose:

As the Operations Center Manager, you will serve as the head of the PRC Operations Center, supervising day-to-day transactions and ensuring real-time monitoring of disasters, accidents, and emergencies. You will be responsible for staff scheduling, performance evaluations, budgeting, policy implementation, and continuous improvement of the center's functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the Operations Center team, including scheduling and performance evaluation.
  • Monitor disasters and accidents via various communication channels (e.g., email, text, calls, 143 hotline).
  • Propose and implement improvements and projects for the Operations Center.
  • Prepare timely reports for top management and the PRC Chairman.
  • Manage the Operations Center budget and ensure expenses align with allocated resources.
  • Ensure proper filing systems for all reports and communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Extensive experience in field/disaster operations.
  • Proven leadership experience, including coaching and mentoring teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with humanitarian/non-profit organizations, particularly the Red Cross/Red Crescent, is preferred.
