With a presence across the MENA region, MERA Global supports evidence generation to improve accountability, effectiveness, and strategic learning for clients such as USAID, FCDO, EU, DRC, Expertise France, and others.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and creative Website and Digital Content Intern to support the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of MERA Global’s website. This intern will play a critical role in enhancing the user experience, updating and managing content, and optimizing digital presence in line with our communications strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update website content including job postings, project updates, blogs, and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely publication of relevant content.
  • Improve website structure, layout, and navigation for better user experience.
  • Monitor website performance and analytics; suggest improvements.
  • Ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all pages.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all website content.
  • Assist with basic graphic and layout improvements using CMS tools.
  • Ensure accessibility and mobile responsiveness of the site.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital trends and recommend features/tools for enhancement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic SEO principles.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content management skills.
  • Eye for design and user experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Google Analytics and SEO tools.
  • Interest in humanitarian/development sector communications.
