iProbono is a global group of justice organisations and affiliates with a mission to enable people to access their rights in pursuit of a just society. We are hiring consultants based in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to develop iProbono’s Accelerate program and to support our work across South Asia.
Responsibilities:
- Implement strategic objectives of iProbono’s Accelerate program.
- Identify new organisations to support through the Accelerate program in line with thematic priorities.
- Work closely with the CEO to strengthen program development, strategising, implementation and advocacy efforts in relation to the Accelerate program.
- Work with the Research and Impact Director to ensure proactive data collection, project monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and reporting requirements for the Accelerate program.
- Represent iProbono at relevant meetings, consultations, and events.
- Support administrative and fundraising activities as required.
- Coordinate with the wider team to organise events and develop iProbono’s regional network.
- Coordinate with iProbono’s Advocacy and Communications team.
- Research and writing on iProbono’s thematic focus areas in different jurisdictions including LGBT+ rights, gender justice, migrant workers’ rights, and ESCR.
Skills and Experience:
- Post Graduate degree in Development, Law or another relevant subject.
- 5-7 years of experience working in the development sector or with rights-based organisations.
- Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with civil society, the legal community, and iProbono team members.
- Good working knowledge of domestic and international law relating to vulnerable groups particularly women, children and the LGBT+ community.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English and at least in another South Asian language.
- Highly organised, strategic thinker, and results-driven.
- Proficient in MS Office, database management systems.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
- Comfortable with travel if required.
