Role:
- Oversee the financial management and accounting functions of Dana Asia’s operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance across multiple projects and entities.
- Support the overall financial planning and budgeting process and check the accuracy of financials used in donor reporting.
- Oversee the financial management and allocation of funds for various projects, ensuring compliance with donor agreements and internal financial policies.
- Ensure all Dana Asia entities comply with ACFID, ACNC, and local regulations.
- Manage governance, transparency, and reporting for the Social Business Fund.
- Oversee bookkeeping, including transaction recording, bank reconciliations, , and general ledger management.
- Oversee fund allocation, ensuring adherence to donor agreements and financial policies.
- Ensure compliance with local tax and other regulatory obligations, including filing requirements.
- Manage all aspects of Dana Asia’s Social Business Fund, including loan processing, monitoring repayments, and schedule.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, accounting, or similar role.
- Experience working with NGOs, social enterprises, or donor-funded projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial controls, and compliance framework.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Advanced knowledge producing financial accounts to balance sheet and Income statement level
- Ability to reconcile accounts and problem solve errors and review incomplete records and advise on enhancing financial controls
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks/MYOB) and in Excel-based reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication (in English), reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven and able to work remotely and autonomously.
