Dental Volunteers Needed

CMA’s Dental Clinic is the only option for camp residents to access dental care on Lesvos. This unique and essential service provides an invaluable opportunity for volunteers to make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of refugees and asylum seekers.

Located within the Mavrovouni Refugee Camp on the Greek island of Lesvos, our Dental Clinic offers vital dental care to displaced individuals. Lesvos serves as a primary entry point for refugees arriving in Europe, yet access to dental services on the island is extremely limited.

Our clinic operates from a two-room isobox in the camp’s medical area and is staffed by licensed international volunteer dentists, nurses, and interpreters. We provide free dental care from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:00.

Services include emergency dental treatments, medication prescriptions, oral hygiene education, and hygiene promotion sessions. Our goal is to improve oral health while easing the burden on the local healthcare system.

We are currently facing a critical shortage of volunteer dentists, which directly affects our ability to provide care. Volunteers are essential to keeping our clinic operational. In addition to the opportunity to work in a meaningful role, we provide free accommodation and transport during your time of service.

If you are a licensed dentist willing to contribute your skills, we warmly encourage you to join us. Your support is crucial in ensuring refugees receive the care they urgently need.
