Bolivia - Code of Ethics and Gender Policy updating Advisor, with intercultural approach

This is a 6-month mandate, based in La Paz, Bolivia, with travels in the Bolivian Chaco and Amazonia.

The mandate stems from the Equality in Action Voluntary Cooperation Program (PCV), which is being rolled out in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The PCV aims to increase the involvement of local partner organizations in countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative and sustainable initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam puts the rights of women, girls and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything we do.

Here's what your daily life will look like:

In close collaboration with the partner organization ‘’Instituto para el Desarrollo Rural de Sudamérica’’ (IPDRS), and Oxfam team members in the country, your mandate will consist of:

  • Carry out a document review and participatory consultations for the revision and updating of partner organization ‘’Instituto para el Desarrollo Rural de Sudamérica’’ (IPDRS) code of ethics and gender policy, consisting of two documents which, in their final version, must be duly aligned with the institution's policies and values.
  • Strengthen the partner organization ‘’Instituto para el Desarrollo Rural de Sudamérica’’ (IPDRS) by creating and managing spaces for the diffusion of the code of ethics and the institutional gender policy, aimed at the partner organization’s staff, based in La Paz or in the Bolivian Chaco and Amazonia.

For this mandate you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in social sciences, gestion, planification or other relevant field;
  • Have at least 2 years' professional experience relevant to the mandate (in development of organizational management manuals and tools);
  • Master spoken and written Spanish (mandatory);
  • Master the Office suite.
