The USAID/Philippines Better Access and Connectivity (BEACON) Activity seeks to promote better access and connectivity in the Philippines by a) improving the quality of its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and logistics infrastructure; b) improving the enabling environment and regulatory governance for ICT and logistics investments; and c) strengthening cybersecurity protections. The anticipated duration of this activity is June 2021 – June 2026. BEACON Activity is implemented by Nathan Associates, private international economic and analytics consulting firm that works with government and commercial clients around the globe to deliver practical solutions and achieve lasting results.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides driving and transportation services for official BEACON trips, including to gather supplies and to transport personnel for official meetings;

  • Provides basic security for office personnel while traveling to official meetings;

  • Errands as required; and

  • Perform other tasks assigned by the DCOP that are consistent with this Scope of Work and the general requirements of the project.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a professional driver;

  • Ability to handle simple tasks, take direction, follow through on instructions for routine tasks and operational issues;

  • Outstanding punctuality and reliability;

  • Excellent driving record;

  • Strong written and verbal English and Tagalog skills; and

  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
