NLA welcomes applications from potential interns who have Professional level of English with relevant degree and/or master’s in politics, international relations, development studies, gender studies, civil society and public diplomacy, conflict analysis, immigration and refugees, human rights, media, anthropology, economy and finance or relevant similar social and natural sciences areas. Candidates with Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills, Web 2.0 tools will be priorities

Position Title: Intern

Duty Station: Home-based with in-person possibility regarding lifting pandemic restrictions,

Classification: Intern, Grade Other

Type of Appointment: Internship, six months with possibility of extension

Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible

Remuneration: Volunteer, there is no salary or stipend, however New Life Association will reimburse reasonable expenses including a small daily lunch allowance in the case of in-person opportunity

Training: New Life Association will ensure interns receive a high level of relevant experience including training from senior members or staff

Reporting to: Director of Organization and HoP (Head of Operations)

Overview: The principal areas of work in which interns are expected to be involved are;

  • Grant writing and proposal development,

  • Rural and urban development,

  • Website maintenance and communication,

  • Project cycle management including Project evaluation,

Role Description: Your internship role within NLA will depend on your background experience and interests. As a team, we rely on each member to contribute their skills to our work and we are particularly looking for interns to work on programmatic work, fundraising and communications, youth mobility, Erasmus, Horizon.
