The Role: Resource Mobilisation Lead - FlexOM
The environment that Save the Children operates in is changing, with geopolitical changes such as Brexit, shifting donor requirements, and broader trends within our sector such as the shrinking space for INGOs. In response to these external pressures and trends, Save the Children must change the way it operates and become flexible, resilient, and fit for future.
In March 2020, the Save the Children Board took the decision to incorporate two additional operating models within Save the Children´s structure: Save the Children National Offices and SCI US. The project managing this change is called the Flexible Operating Model project (Flex OM), and is responsible for the development and implementation of these operating models under the guiding principles of maximising our impact for children, maintaining the integrity and cohesion of our movement, and guaranteeing our independence as a child rights organisation.
The implementation of this new model implies the redefinition of some processes, and functions as the mandate, the nature and the governance of these new entities is different from the country office model. These changes will affect the resource mobilisation functions of the national offices and how this new model is embedded within the broader Save the Children movement. The purpose of this role is to make sure that National offices are setup and ready to mobilise resources from day one after their go-live, expected in January 2023 and that all affected stakeholders are engaged in the discussions to make that happen. In particular this role will have to:
* To represent the Resource Mobilisation, Communications and Engagement function on the Flexible Operating Model Project, providing the project with subject matter expertise so that design, development and implementation decisions reflect the needs of the Resource Mobilisation, Communications and Engagement function.
* To make sure that our internal agreements allow National offices to develop fundraising activities and that key stakeholders are aligned with the approach.
* To propose recommendations for National offices to develop resource mobilisation activities, in particular for direct receive funding, in alignment with members.
* To provide additional support in other functional areas within the Fundraising/ Resource Mobilisation Work Steam
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
* Mid-senior level experience in managing stakeholders in a global project.
* Subject matter Expertise in Resource Mobilisation function in Save the Children
* Substantial Resource Mobilisation / Institutional funding experience, including working within a complex matrixed organisation, ideally in Save the Children.
* Experience in solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
* Excellent business partnering, communication and relationship building skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage productive relationships with SC member agencies and senior staff
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.

* Team player, with a full appreciation of the value of collaboration
* Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Save the Children.
* Experience of working in / across other areas of SC's operations and / or functions
* Experience of being involved in the implementation of a new / changed business processes and ways of working or transformation processes

We offer this position at circa pay of 50,000 GBP per annum.
