SI is implementing the USAID/Vietnam Learns Contract. The scope of the five-year project is to support USAID/Vietnam staff and its implementing partners to implement more efficient, effective, and sustainable programs by (1) improving staff knowledge and skills in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) and Collaborating, Learning & Adapting (CLA); (2) advancing evidence-informed decision-making; (3) strengthening strategic collaboration between staff and local stakeholders.
Social Impact is seeking highly qualified public health experts to provide analytical and research support on upcoming assessments and evaluations under the USAID/Vietnam Learns contract. Consultants will work closely with our Hanoi office staff to plan, coordinate, and conduct a variety of public health-related research and evaluation projects for the USAID Mission. Positions are available for candidates based both in and outside Vietnam and may include but are not limited to the following: Evaluation Team Leader; Research Specialist; Public Health Evaluation Advisor; Research Coordinator.
Work with USAID and the Vietnam Learns team to create data collection plans.
Develop both qualitative and quantitative research tools.
Design and disseminate surveys.
Conduct in-depth interviews with beneficiaries and other key informants.
Analyze collected data and write final reports.
Facilitate regional events to share and validate initial findings.
Master’s degree in public health, international development, or a related field and at least nine years of relevant work experience. Clinical or medical background preferred.
Significant experience conducting research, evaluations, and/or assessments in one or more of the following topics: HIV, tuberculosis, infectious diseases, and disabilities.
Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
Experience working on international donor-funded research projects. USAID experience highly preferred.
Previous work experience in Vietnam or other Southeast Asian countries.
Strong understanding about the context of the healthcare system and public health related policies in Vietnam preferred.
Oral and written fluency in English. Vietnamese language skills desirable.
