Position : Nutrition Consultant

Location: Yemen , Sudan ,Syria ,Turkey

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

Ensure coordination and implementation of the strategy plan.

Manage and coach the project team of nutrition worked staff.

Coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring and coordination of multisector approaches for the prevention of chronic malnutrition

Support the development of a national food fortification strategy.

Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of the Social and Behaviors Change Communication (SBCC) strategy

Ensure adequate monitoring and evaluation of all activities in coordination with the M&E team

Represent the Association at international, regional or national technical meetings on nutrition, food security and social sectors activities including in emergency context.

support in the implementation and monitoring of all nutrition activities in Yemen, Syria,Sudan and TURKEY

Support in this program or any other related programming issues as required by the supervisor.

Follow up, for the stunting and SAM cases, and intervention as required.

Lead nutrition assessments in the targeted areas and provide recommendations.

Analyze the data, mentioning the problems, deviations and critical conditions and how to deal with.

Responsible for Creating a basic nutrition guide line according to the international standards and WHO protocol.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

University degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Medical, Public Health, International Health, Nutrition, Food Technology or related fields.

Experience:

3-5 years of postgraduate professional experience throughout nutrition field and Program Management.

Knowledge & Skills:

Good understanding of the development issues of the developing countries;

Ability to travel to the locations we mentioned above.

Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, plan and manage programs, leadership and teamwork skills, good analytical, communication, negotiation and advocacy skills;

Ability to plan and organize his/her own work in support of and in coordination with other members of the team.

Ability to work and lead a team.

Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously independently;

Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;

Advanced computer skills with mastery of Windows and Microsoft Office;

Languages:

Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic
