The Role

Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for a Global Head of Security to provide security expertise and crisis management support to affiliates, Oxfam International, Global Humanitarian Team, regional teams and key countries.

The Global Head of Security will provide strategic input and support to key stakeholders on Security Management. The Head of Security will also provide leadership and team management to the Global Security Team and will represent Oxfam externally by leading and participating in international debates.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a strategic leader with extensive working knowledge of security and crisis management and have international experience in a similar large, complex and multicultural organization with relevant field experience. As an experienced manager, you will lead and develop a high-level specialist team and will continue to build a solid culture of security risk management within Oxfam.

We are looking for a strong and credible, strategic leader to influence and provide internal/ external representation.
You will be familiar with and committed to a rights-based, feminist approach to development and be committed to Oxfam’s values and objectives.
