Trust Consultancy and Development is looking for remote researchers to contribute to its research in development and humanitarianism in the MENA region for a flexible period of between one and six months (either part time or full time).**

· Disaster management
· Capacity building in the humanitarian sector
· Kurdish region of Iraq/Kurdish regions in Syria

This particular role offers the opportunity to contribute to important research underway in the field of development, humanitarianism or MENA region specific research questions-Trust is open to suggestions from its interns. . this is a 6 month internship. There will be no stipend until the second month; from the second month, the intern will get USD 300/ month. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to supervise remotely 5 local researchers in Turkey.
Upon acceptance, Trust will discuss specific research topics and deadlines with candidates based on mutually available time and research methodology/tools.
In each round, Trust will select the most relevant research to be published and distributed amongst Trust’s expansive network. We will cover all costs to bring individual researchers/teams to represent the organisation at sector-specific conferences in the region all expenses paid. Trust will also provide references after the research position comes to an end and will be at hand with expertise and guidance in terms of how researchers might move forward in their careers. So far Trust has received more than 20 local and international interns from different countries including France and the UK. Five international interns were hired following their internship.

The candidate should:
1- Have strong research skills
2- Be able to provide evidence and details of current and previous research experience in one or more of the areas detailed above
3- Native / highly proficient English, Turkish or Arabic speaker
4- Depending on mother tongue, additional language skills in Turkish/Arabic/Kurdish are highly desirable
5- Recently graduated MA/PHD student or currently studying for MA/PHD
6- Demonstrate a profound understanding of development/ humanitarian sector
7- Work experience in a relevant sector an asset
8- Good knowledge/ experience in the MENA region is an asset
9- Have an ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines
10- Have very good organizational skills, analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
11- Be able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
12- Have strong writing and editing skills for different purposes
