Jusoor is an international NGO founded in 2011 with the mission of Investing in Syria’s Youth for a Better Tomorrow. In the short span of 7 years, the organization has become known as a leading global actor in educational and entrepreneurial programs for Syrian children and youth. To date, Jusoor has enabled more than 607 Syrian students to complete their university education, enrolled 4,631 children in primary education, and supported 82 Syrian entrepreneurs. The organization is known for its innovative approach to development challenges, high-velocity execution, and the strength of its global strategic partnerships and its active volunteer base.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Managing access to google drive and maintaining an organised filing system, ensuring regular data backup and storage
Organising logistics of and taking and circulating notes at team, committee and board meetings
Helps with scheduling for staff recruitment processes as well as creating and maintaining materials for on-boarding and off-boarding staff.
Other general operational support will include tasks such as: reviewing reports and other documents for compliance, accuracy, and readability; scheduling calls and meetings; taking minutes; arranging staff and consultant travel; processing expense reports; supporting invoice and reimbursement processes; helping to manage the intake and appropriate routing of internal and/or public inquiries; and helping to keep the Jusoor website and social media up -to-date with program information.
Possible ad hoc responsibilities may include conducting basic research; document editing; drafting correspondence, summaries, and background materials; outreach tracking; reviewing grantee updates; collecting, compiling, and analyzing data in support of eligibility assessments, contacting vendors and distributors to get competitive offers and prices docket write-ups, and peer and portfolio reviews; data entrey; reviewing financial reports; and communications related projects.
Provide other administrative and logistical support as needed
Maintain confidentiality of Jusoors activities
Required Skills, Experience and Abilities:
The ideal candidate has:
Ability to take initiative and prioritize responsibilities multi-task, self motivate and work independently, as well as part of a remote team, when handling a wide range of complex administrative tasks.
Demonstrated proficiency in data management, Microsoft Office, and other office technologies as well as comfort in learning new proprietary software systems (e.g. Salesforce).
Excellence in communicating with tact and diplomacy, both orally and in writing (including to senior management, co-workers, and the general public).
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
Excellent in written and spoken English, Arabic a strong asset. Translation skills would be highly valued
Ability to work occasional non-standard hours including evening and weekends on occasions

Experience with programs in the MENA region is an advantage.
40 hours a week
Compensation: $1,000 per month
