What Young Peacebuilders (YP) Does
Young Peacebuilders nurtures peacebuilding passion and skills in violence-affected children and youth. We do this through partnerships, research, projects, and tools that help young people build peace in their own communities and abroad. Our goal is to see a major shift in the dominant method of addressing contemporary conflicts toward investing in young people as peacebuilders.
Responsibilities vary depending upon duration of one’s commitment, number of hours committed, interests, skills, and experience. We ensure responsibilities increase along with one’s skill level.
Provide technical advice in the areas of online training platforms, and online training development and delivery
Research and recommend various online training platforms, and present pros and cons of each, including how well they can be implemented in conflict and post-conflict country settings and recommend the paper-based supports that may be needed.
Advise on design, development and delivery of online trainings, and help with the development of online trainings as needed
Provide recommendations on, and help with developing and measuring appropriate training metrics
Advise on current best practices in online training development and delivery, various learning options, and can provide examples of creative and successful online training material and PDF/paper-based supports
Recommend creative/innovative solutions, modifications and enhancements to online trainings
Master’s degree in Education, Learning and Development, or relevant field.
At least four (4) years of related professional experience. Experience in working with training platforms in developing country field settings is desired
Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques.
Excellent knowledge of English including strong and demonstrated communications, presentation and analytical skills and excellent drafting skills.
Experience and knowledge of youth, peacebuilding, child protection and education in humanitarian or development contexts is a bonus.
Demonstrated capacity to work with minimum supervision.
Experience in training material/toolkits development
