As a monitoring and evaluation advisor, you will work with the Social Change Observatory, Ministry of Planning and Development to support the team of the Social Change Observatory in Cotonou to develop relevant tools and methodologies. capable of professionally assisting them in measuring the effects and impacts of development policies, strategies, programs and projects and ensuring the quality of impact assessments of Benin's national development policies, in particular those focused on growth, reduction of poverty and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Volunteer-Cooperant will have to carry out the following activities:
-Provide an assessment of the capacities of the Observatory of Social Change with adapted tools and identify the potential areas of capacity building.
-To strengthen the capacities of the actors of the Observatory of Social Change in the evaluation of public development policies.
-To support the actors of the Observatory of Social Change to develop relevant tools and methodologies for measuring the effects and impacts of policies, strategies, programs and development projects
Essential academic skills:
-University degree in management, monitoring-evaluation, organizational development, or any other relevant field.
Experience / Essential Professional Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of policies, strategies, programs and development projects;
-Very good experience in organizational analysis;
-Excellent writing skills;
-Ability to work with public structures, with few resources and as a member of a team.

We ask each volunteer, regardless of placement length, to raise $2,000. All volunteers receive support from Cuso International to help achieve the goal through fundraising. If the volunteer chooses not to fundraise or is unable to achieve the fundraising goal, he/she can make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor to support our work.
