UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA) is seeking the services of an individual consultant to provide child marriage knowledge management support to the three UN agencies in South Asia - UNICEF, UNFPA and UN Women, at the regional level.
Key Assignments and Tasks:
The consultant will be managed by the Regional Advisor Child Protection in close collaboration with the UNFPA APRO Regional Advisor Gender and Human Rights.
Academic Qualification and work experience:
Duration: 15 August to 15 December 2019 (26 working days)
The consultant will be home based and have their own computer, with necessary virtual communication tools (e.g., Skype). The consultant should have good internet access to be able to communicate effectively with the 3 regional offices. Ideally the consultant will be based either in Kathmandu or in Bangkok to have easy access to either UNICEF ROSA or UNFPA EAPRO.
If the person is not based in Kathmandu, there will be one trip required to Kathmandu to participate in the regional workshop to end child marriage in August 2019, as well as to obtain a comprehensive briefing on the new architecture for the regional knowledge platform on child marriage. It is expected that this will be a full week, however may be slightly extended if required.
Air travel will be in economy class. DSA, Terminal, etc, will be as per UNICEF travel policy for consultants. No TA will be issued by UNICEF. Consultants on travel status must complete the BSAFE e-learning module prior to begin the travel.
