Your Role

As a volunteer with one of our incredible projects in our Refugee and Migrant team, you will have the opportunity to be working in a team of energized, passionate and supportive people, working together on various programs in order to improve the lives, days or simply moments, of people living in limbo.

Here at indiGO we match brilliant volunteers with amazing projects totally fee-free. We are connected with 28 different projects in Greece, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina providing aid to displaced peoples.

What you'll be doing as a volunteer

We offer a huge variety of roles for our volunteers, some requiring more skills than others. Listed below are the most common roles in these projects but please view more at our website under 'All Projects'->'Refugee and Migrant'. If there is a specific organization you would like to work for, please include this in your application.

-Warehouse sorting and storage

-ESL teacher for adults/kids

-Working in a 'Child-Friendly Space' (this usually includes playing and looking after children for a few hours a day)

-Working in Women's only spaces (activities range from facilitating hair and makeup sessions to teaching yoga)

-Facilitating recreational activities (art, music, fitness, sewing and more)

-Distribution of food, clothing, hygiene products, and toiletries

Again, please view our website to find out about more projects, there's a role for everyone!

To emphasise how rewarding this placement can be, here is an extract from one of our volunteer stories by Catharine who volunteered with House of All in Bosnia. You can read more on out website under 'News' -> 'Volunteer Stories'.

"It has been a privilege to be part of the community that is the House of All, and to meet and work with truly incredible human beings. For anyone even a little bit interested in getting involved, even the smallest actions can make a huge difference, so just do it!
