WFP warns that unless Sudan receives a constant flow of aid via all possible corridors – from neighbouring countries and across battle lines – the country’s hunger catastrophe will only worsen.
Of Sudan’s 161 stabilization centres, only 103 in 17 states are fully functional and able to give life-saving treatment to children suffering severe acute malnutrition with medical complications.

Armed clashes in multiple cities across Sudan have displaced an estimated 6,036,176 IDPs over the past nine months. Prior to 15 April 2023, Sudan already hosted an estimated 3,820,772 IDPs.
