In the Bago District, 25,000 people were affected when the Pegu River inundated adjacent villages and farmlands. The majority of the victims are casual labor workers, fishermen and farmers with no other livelihood opportunities.

Clashes in Mansi in Myanmar's Kachin State led to the displacement of over 3,000 people. Meanwhile joint missions to non-government areas reached 26,000 people.
At the height of the rainy season, during July, August and September, 38,000, 48,000 and 22,000 people were displaced respectively. The recurrent floods are a reminder of the vulnerability of many communities.
