Since mid-August, China has experienced two typhoons in the south and extremely severe flooding in the north. Authorities estimate the total number of people affected by the disasters to be over 10 million.
As of 26 August, more than 78,000 people are scattered across 359 evacuation centres, mostly schools, while more than 231,000 are staying with family and friends.
More than 94,200 people have been affected, with nearly 2,200 people seeking refuge in 19 evacuation centers. The Calabarzon region is believed to be the hardest hit.
