More than 127,000 Kenyan children who have been displaced by flooding following heavy rains in recent weeks may be in need of psychosocial support, World Vision is warning.

The funding will help cover basic needs such as emergency shelter, food and nutrition, drinking water and repair of water facilities, emergency health care and epidemics prevention.
Water sources have been contaminated and 33 health centres have been destroyed along with homes, crops, irrigation systems and farm equipment, and roads and train lines.
The floods have disrupted livelihoods, with at least 8,450 acres of farmland submerged and more than 6,000 livestock killed, and destroyed houses and damaged infrastructure.
