At least 150 people died and 70 houses were destroyed following a landslide in Ituri Province during the night of 15-16 August. The survivors are in need of food and non-food items.

A further SB$30.8 million has been identified for reconstruction activities. While emergency shelter and WASH needs are being met, the costly medium and longer term reconstruction of homes and rehabilitation of water systems will require additional funding.
