Strong winds caused damage to houses, causing roofs to cave in, trees to fall down, and other cases affect crops in the following communities: Qwamay, Ankuash, Kawa, Kuakash, Shauk, San Joseph Chapintza and Sakap (Government of Ecuador, 21 September 2010).
