Disaster description
Mt. Bromo volcano started showing activity in December 2010. The rain ash damaged sources of clean water in the Probolinggo District. (Indonesia Red Cross, 29 Dec 2010)
By January 2011, as a result of cold lava floods, 35 homes were washed away, 20 were severely damaged and 44 sustained minor damage. About 340 people were displaced. (Indonesia Red Cross, 24 Jan 2011)
