More than 50 children are attending activities daily at the Child Friendly Space (CFS) in Beira, with demand growing since Tropical Cyclone Idai damaged much of the city in mid-March.

The CFS is located at the former kindergarten of SOS Children’s Villages. Most of the children attending the CFS live in the nearby San Pedro shelter for families displaced by Idai.

The phrase turned into a hashtag today as the theme of inclusion constantly raised its head in the 4th World Reconstruction Conference, the 2nd Multi-Hazard Early Warning Conference and the Science and Policy Forum which all got underway today as part of the build up to the opening of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction on Wednesday.
