An official ceremony of handing over humanitarian aid delivered by the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has been held today at the port of Mariel, Artemisa province of Cuba.

The 300-ton cargo of construction materials, mobile power stations and food provided by the Russian Federal Agency for State Reserves was delivered to Cuba by sea.

Over 1,100 tons of relief supplies are planned to be brought in by the end of the month.

Cuba – La OIM, el Organismo de las Naciones Unidas para la Migración, apoyará a 1600 familias damnificadas por el Huracán Irma en varios municipios afectados en Villa Clara, Cuba, a través de una donación de colchones y juegos de cama.

Los contenedores con los materiales arribaron el 23 de octubre pasado al puerto de Mariel, en el occidente de Cuba, y fueron trasladados por ferrocarril hasta Villa Clara. Se espera que la ayuda llegue a sus beneficiarios en los próximos días.

Mariel, 20 nov (ACN) El gobierno de la Federación de Rusia entregó hoy un donativo al pueblo de Cuba, afectado severamente en septiembre último por los embates del huracán Irma, para ayudar a la recuperación de las zonas más afectadas por el potente evento hidrometeorológico.

La ceremonia de entrega de la ayuda humanitaria tuvo lugar en la Terminal de Contenedores de la Zona Especial de Desarrollo Mariel, por donde arribó el cargamento con más de 282 toneladas, de unas mil 133 que deben completarse en los próximos días vía marítima.
