Disaster description

Flash floods and landslides caused by Typhoon Mina ('Nanmadol') have affected at least 2,888 families (11,720 people) in 27 barangays, 8 municipalities, 1 city in 4 provinces in Regions II, V, and VI of the Philippines (Govt, 27 Aug 2011).

In China, the storm caused losses of more than 44 million yuan (6.9 million U.S. dollars) and destroyed hundreds of homes as it battered the country's southeastern coast (Xinhua, 31 Aug 2011).
