
Solomon Islands: Cyclone Ului - Mar 2010
Disaster description
On 15 March 2010, Tropical Cyclone Ului intensified into a Category 4 cyclone. It affected six provinces (Makira, Rennell/Bellona, Isabel, Malaita, Guadalcanal and Temotu), causing flooding and damages to food gardens and infrastructures. IFRC funds were allocated on 22 March 2010. About 1,000 people benefited from the response operation, which was completed by 30 April 2010 with logistics support from the Solomon Islands Government and its donor partners. (IFRC, 21 Sep 2010)
