Central African Republic: Severe Local Storm - May 2012

Disaster description

Central African Republic experienced heavy winds in February 2012 that caused serious material damages and human casualties in the localities of Bougoula, Mbaïki and Amada-Gaza. In May 2012, new flooding in Amada-Gaza, Boda centre, Kanguete, Mboumandourou and Boulay localities caused further damage. 287 houses were destroyed and almost 2,000 people were affected.
