DR Congo: Landslide - May 2010
Disaster description
OCHA reported that on 16th May 2010, following heavy rains and the overflow of several rivers, a landslide occurred at Kibiriga village, on the slopes of the Nyiragongo Volcano. More than 230 houses and 7 hectares of farmland were destroyed. 21 People were confirmed dead while 46 others were unaccounted for.
