At 10:00 AM of the same day, its center was located at 705 km West Northwest of Coron, Palawan (14.2°N, 114.1°F) with maximum sustained winds of up to 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving West at 15 km/h.

Visayas, Caraga, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm caused by easterlies. Impacts include possible flash floods or rain induced landslides during severe thunderstorm.

Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Mindanao. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.

CARAGA, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Southern Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by ITCZ. Impacts include possible flashfloods or rain-induced landslides during severe thunderstorm.

Cagayan Valley, CAR, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon. Impacts include windy conditions in coastal and mountainous areas.

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Dec. 11 (PIA) - Some 2,000 families in Tuguegarao City received “Kalinga Packs” from SM Foundation in partnership with SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown (SMTD) during its recently concluded series of relief operation on Dec. 7- 9.

Dubbed as ‘Operation Tulong Express’, Gerina Malubay-Torno, press relations officer said, the relief operation was able to reach seven heavily-affected barangays in Tuguegarao City to include Centro 10, Centro 11, Gosi Sur and Norte, Libag Sur, Tagga, and Annafunan East.

Typhoon Kammuri made landfall on 2-3 December in the provinces of Sorsogon, Masbate, Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro. Affected areas experienced heavy rain, strong winds and storm surges. It is estimated that 768,000 people were affected, 12 people were killed, 138,000 people were evacuated (many pre-emptively), and about 71,000 houses were damaged or destroyed. To date, the Government has provided some USD$240,000 worth of relief assistance to affected families.
