DR Congo: Floods - Oct 2012
Disaster description
At the end of September 2012, torrential rains caused flooding in the town of Gbadolite in Equateur province. Three people were killed, 300 houses destroyed and 327 households affected. (OCHA, 3 Oct 2012)
Torrential rains between 1-9 Nov 2012 caused flooding in Dungu, Haut-Uele District in Orientale Province, which affected almost 21,000 people. (OCHA, 20 Nov 2012).
Between November and December 2012, 39 villages were completly flooded in Isangi and Basoko in Orientale Province. Almost 60,000 people were affected. (OCHA, 19 Feb 2013)
