South Sudan: Floods - Jun 2012

Disaster description

Between June and October 2012, heavy seasonal rains caused flooding in several parts of South Sudan (OCHA, 1 Jul 2012), affecting over 313,000 people in 44 of South Sudan's 79 counties, with Jonglei State being the heaviest hit, with flooding displacing over 220,000 people, destroying crops, houses and basic infrastructure.
