Cuba: Floods - May 2012

As per the preliminary assessment of damage caused by heavy rains in central Cuba, more than a thousand homes have been damaged or destroyed and more than 3,300 hectares of farmland are under water. More than 8,000 people have been evacuated. (UN Country Team, 28 May 2012)
