Honduras: Floods - Jan 2011

Disaster description

The sixth tropical wave (typical of the rainy season in Central America and Mexico) brought rains that have kept the country in alert for 13 out of 18 departments in the country. Authorities confirmed the deaths of six people. About 2,500 people remain isolated in the department of Valle, due to the flooding of rivers and the difficulties to repair or build bridges of access to remote regions of this department.
