Philippines: Floods and Landslides - Nov 2010

Disaster description

In december 2010, continued moderate to heavy rains displaced a total of 136,370 families (or about 672,131 individuals) across 12 out of 17 regions in the Philippines. Majority of the IDPs stayed in the evacuation centers for about hree days with families returning as soon as flood waters receded. As of 28 January 2011, 1,514 families (6,844 individuals) remained in evacuation centers across five regions. (OCHA, 31 Jan 2011)
