Disaster description

In October 2010, heavy torrential rains raised the water level of the rivers causing inundation and flooding of houses and agricultural land, as well as destruction of infrastructure in some areas of the Krasnodarsky Region, Russia. IFRC, 24 May 2011
According to the Russian Red Cross branch in Krasnodar, at least 14 people died, 9 were missing, and 300 - of which 70 children, were evacuated. A total number of 48,300 people were affected. IFRC, 27 Oct 2010
