Sri Lanka: Floods - May 2007

Due to torrential rains, some parts of Sri Lanka experienced floods starting in early May 2007. The most affected districts were Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Galle, with 40,139 families affected and 17 deaths reported. (Govt. of Sri Lanka, 7 May 2007)
