Iraq: Flash Floods - Apr 2011

Disaster description

On 22 April, 2011 heavy rains started to fall in different areas in Iraq and continued for more than 35 hours, causing floods and severe damages to several governorates. "The incessant rains led to massive flooding, the biggest in the area in more than ten years," according to officials (IFRC).
