Luanda - More than 60 Cuban health collaborators are granting medical aid to the people of Haiti, after suffering from an earthquake, informed this Monday in Luanda the ambassador of Cuba to Angola, Pedro Ross Leal.

According to the diplomat, who was speaking during a press conference, Cuban physicians started assisting soon after the earthquake of last January 12.

The ambassador stated that until January 14 a total of 1,987 patients received assistance and 11 surgeries were carried out in five regions of Port-au-Prince (capital of Haiti).
