Country Updates

Mozambique’s first-season harvest is expected to be one of its best in the last 4 years, reaching over 1 million MT.

Above-average harvests are reported for most Provinces in the central and southern regions, despite flooding earlier in the season. The harvest is nearly complete in the south and about 50 percent complete in the central region. With greater tolerance for extremely moist conditions, cereals have performed better than beans and groundnuts.
