Chambers, the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Malaria, praised today's announcement by the United States Government that it will commit four billion dollars over the next three years to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria - the first multi-year pledge the United States has made to the Fund, and a 35 percent increase.  This represents the largest increase in support for the Fund by any country for the next three years.
