VIENNA, 18 December 2014 – The USD 5 million voluntary contribution to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), allocated last year by the Government of China, is being used to further technical cooperation, as well as advisory services, in Africa, Central Asia, and the Latin American and Caribbean region.

BERLIN, 23 May 2012 – Germany's ongoing financial support to developing Africa's pharmaceutical industry will be increased by EUR 1 million.
This was announced today by Dirk Niebel, the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, during a meeting with Kandeh K. Yumkella, the Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
“Only a well-functioning African private sector can sustainably improve access to essential medicines for the poor," said Niebel.
JERUSALEM, 14 May 2012 - Israel's National Agency for International Development Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MASHAV) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) have signed an agreement today to increase cooperation on food security, water management, the empowerment of women and industrial development in Africa and in Least Developed Countries.

We recognize the invaluable contributions that women have made and continue to make, across all boundaries, whether they are national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.
We also seek to ensure that women have equal rights and opportunities to live a full and decent life. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.
