Between FY 2007 and FY 2016, USAID’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/ OFDA) and USAID’s Office of Food for Peace (USAID/ FFP) provided humanitarian assistance in response to a diverse range of natural and complex emergencies in the region.

NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS -- Military members from six nations joined together for a humanitarian assistance and disaster relief deployment throughout the region of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Feb. 14-18.

The deployment is part of Cope North 16, a multilateral exercise, including the U.S. Air Force and air forces from across the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

Belgrade, 17 Dec 2015 – Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin met yesterday with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Serbia Lee Do-Hoon, who announced that his country has decided to donate to Serbia aid worth $1 million.

Do-Hoon explained that half of the funds is intended for direct budget support, and the other half for the UNHCR.

According to Do-Hoon, the funds will be used to improve border control, support refugee camps and medical assistance to migrants.
