Approximately a total of 735,000 Venezuelans are estimated to be living in three countries: the United States (255,520), Spain (180,289) and Colombia (470,000). Their migration status varies, from regular and irregular migrants, to refugees and asylum seekers, among others.

De acuerdo con las cifras oficiales del gobierno de Colombia, a final de octubre 2018 había en el país más de un millón de venezolanos. Esta cifra ha aumentado desde menos de 39.000 a final de 2015.

Refugiados y migrantes han asentado no solo en áreas fronterizas, sino también en centros urbanos en todo el país. 23.5% están en Bogotá. Los refugiados y migrantes llegan con necesidades humanitarias y de protección urgentes. El GIMM coordina la asistencia técnica al Gobierno y la respuesta a estas necesidades por parte de sus miembros.

According to official Colombian government figures, by the end of October 2018 more than 1 million Venezuelans are estimated to be living in Colombia. This is an increase from less than 39,000

Venezuelans living in Colombia at the end of 2015. Refugees and migrants have settled not only in border areas, but also in urban centres across the county. More than 23.5% are in Bogota alone.

People are arriving with progressively more urgent humanitarian and protection needs.
The GIFMM supports the Government with technical assistance to respond to these needs.

La OIM, Organismo de las Naciones Unidas para la Migración y el ACNUR, la Agencia de la ONU para los Refugiados, anunciaron hoy que el número de refugiados y migrantes de Venezuela en todo el mundo ha alcanzado los tres millones.

Según los datos de las autoridades nacionales de migración y otras fuentes, los países de América Latina y el Caribe albergan a aproximadamente 2,4 millones de personas refugiadas y migrantes de Venezuela, mientras que otras regiones albergan a los restantes 600.000.
