VENEZUELA: VIOLENCE BETWEEN ARMED GROUPS TOO COMMON

On 22 February, violence between two armed left-wing Colombian groups, ELN and FARC, cost the life of a four year old girl. The incident, which took place in Apure state 10 minutes from the Colombian border, is believed to have over control of the illegal smuggling arms, petrol and cocaine believed to be worth 3.5 million euro per month.
