Air Serv recently celebrated the grand opening of Hangar II, doubling its hangar capacity at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda. With a 32m clear span and an 11m tail door, the new facility can accommodate aircraft as large as the Embraer 175. The roughly 1,900m2 structure also features six shops/storerooms on the hangar floor level, as well as six air conditioned offices and a conference room on the mezzanine level.

Air Serv recently transported a shipment of obstetric fistula repair modules in Uganda on behalf of Direct Relief. The modules were delivered to Kitovu Mis-sion Hospital, located 120km southwest of Kampala, and Hoima Regional Re-ferral Hospital, located 203km northwest of Kampala. This is the second time the two organizations have worked in partnership for the delivery of critically needed medical supplies.

Entebbe, Uganda. Air Serv has just trucked 2,900 kg (6,380 lbs.) of obstetric fistula surgical kits on behalf of Direct Relief to clinics around Uganda. The kits, delivered to Kampala, Soroti, and Mbale, will dramatically improve maternal healthcare in the region.

“We’re pleased to leverage our transportation and logistics expertise on behalf of other NGOs,” said Troy Conrey, Air Serv’s Uganda-based Managing Director.
