Abstract

After being wondrously jolted by the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt, the world watches Libya anxiously. Its neighbors on either side have carried out the once unthinkable. Gautam Adhikari explores how nonviolent civil disobedience can--and cannot--prevail over tyranny.
