Il fournit ensuite des cartes de prévisions de précipitations cumulées et des anomalies pluviométriques pour la période du 04 au 10 octobre 2017.

Pour cette semaine,
Un avis d’inondation est en cours pour les zones de Bongor et de Laï.

This map illustrates the satellite-detected surface water extent over D’joumane/Bongor and surroundings in Chad along the Logone River as observed from the Radarsat-2 SAR image acquired on 5 October 2017. The analysis of the image indicate that localized standing flood water with very little impact on population and agriculture area. Within the analyzed area (11,680 k m2), 15,331 ha of surface water extent was observed of which 6667 ha in Chad and 8664 ha in Cameroon.

Flood alert system within Flood Finder is operational (partially), based on the observed water level data. Hydrological forecasting is calibrated and operational at ‘Bongor’ and ‘Lai’, other locations i.e. N’DJamena, Moundou and Sarh are still in calibration.

Flood alert system derived from Flood Finder hydrological model is not yet operational. However, we are closely monitoring the situation over Lai and Moundou regions as high rainfall has occurred during last week.

This map illustrates satellite-detected areas of a refugee settlement in Sido village, southern Chad as seen by the WorldView-1 satellite on 29 January 2014. Fleeing outbreaks of violence in the Central African Republic, refugees have established a settlement in a portion of Sido village. Note that the camp occupied areas include 543 improvised shelters and 200 tent shelters approximately. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Cette carte illustre les petits points d'eau temporaires et autres zones humides détectés tous les dix jours entre 1999 et Juin 2013 par le satellite SPOT. Chaque pixel indique combien de décades (periode de dix jours) sur la période de 14 ans ont connu des conditions d'inondation ou de zones humides. Les pixels les plus foncés indiquent les zones avec une plus haute fréquence d'inondation alors que les pixels les plus clairs indiquent une fréquence d'inondation plus faible. Les places peuplées sont actuellement compilées par UNOSAT.

Cette carte illustre le couvert végétal pour les régions d'Abgadam et d'Armawaha, basé sur l'analyse d'images satellite acquises par SPOT 5 à différentes dates en 2012. Dix différents types de couverts sont indiqués sur la carte. La région est principalement composée de savanes et zones d'agriculture. Les places peuplées sont actuellement compilées par UNOSAT. This map illustrates satellite-detected small temporary water bodies, wetlands and other humid areas as measured every 10 days between 1999 and June 2013 by SPOT satellites. Each pixel therefore indicates how many decadal (ten day) periods within the 14 years sampling period experienced some from of inundation or wetland conditions. Darker pixels indicate areas with relatively higher frequencey of inundation, while lighter pixels indicates areas with less frequent inundations. Populated place names are currently being compiled by UNOSAT.

This map illustrates land cover in Fongoro District, Sila Region, Chad and is based on satellite imagery acquired by the SPOT 5 satellite on multiple dates in 2012. Ten different land cover types are indicated on the map and the district is primarily composed of savanna and agricultural areas. Populated place names are currently being compiled by UNOSAT.
